This 2001 Volkswagen Golf 4Motion is finished in LC9Z Black over a grey leather interior and shows 101,409 miles. It pairs a 2.8-liter VR6 with a six-speed manual transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive in three-door form. The seller reports it runs and drives as it should. It is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery.

The exterior presents well for the car's age, with only honest wear noted. There is rust on the boot handle, which the seller says would ideally be replaced, and a previously repaired section on the front passenger-side sill beneath the wing that could benefit from further attention. Outside of these items, the seller describes the body as solid and presentable, with only minor marks.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in grey leather Recaro seats with factory wood trim accents, and the seller describes it as very clean for its age. Two flaws are disclosed: a tear in the driver's carpet beneath the mat, caused by prior use without protection, and interior mirror glass that has begun to bleed and would benefit from replacement.

The 2.8-liter VR6 is reported to run and drive exactly as it should. Recent work includes a full oil and filter service and an air conditioning recharge that now blows ice cold.

Volkswagen's 4Motion system brought all-wheel drive to the Golf line in the late 1990s, and paired with the narrow-angle VR6 it gave the Mk4 range a range-topping model with genuine all-weather capability.
