Up for sale is my 1959 Volkswagen Beetle, originally hailing from Australia and imported to the UK in 2007. This classic Beetle features an eye-catching orange exterior paired with a charming brown interior, embodying the nostalgic spirit of the late '50s. The odometer reads 66,605 km.

This Beetle is equipped with a 1358cc engine, which is an upgraded 122 code industrial 1200. About five years ago, the engine underwent a top-end rebuild, receiving bigger barrels and pistons. It still retains the original split-case/crash 1st box, maintaining its authentic driving experience.

The car is set up with a static suspension, featuring a 4” narrowed beam with dropped spindles and Cage66 arms, complemented by a disc brake conversion on the front. The rear suspension includes Transporterhaus 2” spring plates, along with possibly a spline or two of adjustment. Despite its lowered stance, this Beetle drives and rides surprisingly well.

The paintwork shows its age in some places, adding to the car's character and vintage appeal. This 1959 Volkswagen Beetle is not just a car; it’s a piece of history, ready for its next caretaker to enjoy and cherish.
