  • This 1996 Mercedes-Benz E 200 Cabriolet is finished in metallic blue over a blue leather interior, showing 124,000 km. It was first registered new on a lease in Milan on 14 May 1996, was bought out of the lease in 1998, and has had three owners in total. The car retains its original registration plates, its original first-registration document, and its original use, maintenance and service booklets. It is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery.

The metallic blue paintwork is paired with a blue fabric soft top. The seller describes the car as exceptionally well preserved, and notes that the engine bay and valve cover still carry their original factory protective wax. In 2016 the car entered an important private collection, where it was carefully stored, and in 2019 it received ASI Targa Oro homologation, the highest grade awarded by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano. The seller reports that all periodic inspections have been kept up, with the current inspection valid to September 2028.

The cabin is trimmed in blue leather and the car is described as full optional, with the electro-hydraulic soft top, its glass rear window, and the rollover protection integrated into the rear head restraints that Mercedes-Benz engineered into the A124.

The 1,998 cc M111 inline-four is rated at 136 hp and is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. The seller discloses no specific defects; as with all of the dealer's vintage stock, the car is offered under standard vintage-car terms, sold as seen consistent with its age and mileage.

The A124 Cabriolet was Mercedes-Benz's return to the four-seat convertible segment, and converting the coupé shell required more than 1,000 modified or additional components. Production ran to 33,952 Cabriolets, of which the four-cylinder E 200, built mainly for the Italian, Greek and Portuguese markets, accounted for 6,922 examples.
