This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 is a W201 with the Cosworth-developed 2.5-litre 16-valve engine, presented in original condition with the German historic H plate. The seller describes it as an accident-free non-smoker car that has been kept in a garage, maintained with its service book, and it comes with a folder of documentation including the service book.
The car was first delivered in Japan, which the seller credits for its rust-free condition. The underbody has been cleaned and sealed with transparent wax. The seller states that the TÜV/AU inspection, an oil service, a major inspection and numerous wear parts are all new.
The 190 E 2.5-16 was the road-going basis of the Mercedes DTM programme, with a Cosworth cylinder head, a close-ratio gearbox and a chassis developed for competition use. Unmodified examples in original condition have become genuinely scarce, as many were tuned or used on track.
The car is offered by Göing Motors in Hannover on consignment for its owner.
