This 1987 TVR 420 SEAC is finished in blue over a two-tone interior in cream and blue leather with blue carpets and a walnut dashboard. Showing 55,433 miles, it is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 with a Kent 218 cam, rated by the seller at 300 bhp and 337 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. It is now offered by Open Air Imports in Wotton-under-Edge, England, with a large history file and a 21-photo gallery, and will be supplied with a fresh MOT and service.
The SEAC used a part carbon fibre and aramid body over rose-jointed suspension, and this example rides on custom-built 17-inch wheels with Pirelli PZero tyres, AP Racing discs and Bremsport four-pot calipers. The engine carries an ACT carbon plenum with an enlarged carbon trumpet, an enlarged inlet manifold and throttle body, and ported cylinder heads.
The seller reports a huge amount of history, with recent upgrades and work by TVR specialists Str8six and TVR 101. The car appears in Steve Heath's TVR reference book and in John Tipler's TVR history, and has featured numerous times in Sprint, the TVR Car Club magazine.
The SEAC was the flagship of TVR's wedge era, built in very small numbers. A documented, specialist-maintained example with this specification is seldom offered.
