This 1981 BMW 323i is finished in 060 Polaris Silver over a Marine Blue velours interior, showing 194,680 documented km. Delivered new in Germany and registered in the Netherlands since 2000, the 2.3-liter inline-six is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. It is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery and extensive documentation.

The seller describes a rust-free, perfectly straight body wearing beautiful, thin original paint, with original front wings, doors, bonnet and quarter panels. The trunk shows original metal and paint with the complete tool set. The car sits slightly lowered on Eibach springs and restored 15-inch Alpina wheels with new tyres.

The interior is stock and clean: blue velour seats, clean door panels and carpets, a crisp headliner and a period Bavaria radio. Rear pop-out windows and a sunroof are fitted, and the car has rebuilt power steering.

The seller's workshop invested 38 hours in the car, replacing every suspension bushing front and rear, the top mounts, differential mount, all CV boots and fuel hoses, and rebuilding all four brake calipers, followed by a major service with all oils, filters and brake fluid. The K-Jetronic injection is reported to work excellently, the timing belt was replaced in 2022, and the matching-numbers engine is said to run beautifully.

The 323i was the top of the E21 range, the first small BMW with a six-cylinder engine and fuel injection. Good survivors are scarce, and this one has just been gone through end to end.
