This 1973 Maserati Merak 3000 is finished in white over a black leather interior, showing 65,700 km. An Italian-market car, it is presented by the seller as an original Italian example that has always belonged to collectors, the most recent of whom has held it since 2010. It received ASI homologation in 1997. It is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery.

The white paintwork follows the lines Giugiaro drew for the Bora, scaled around the smaller V6. The seller reports that the most recent owner carried out extensive body and mechanical work to keep the car in excellent condition.

The black leather interior is original, and the seller notes that the original steering wheel survives in perfect condition, an item often replaced with an aftermarket wheel on other examples. Equipment includes air conditioning, stated to be in perfect working order, and electric windows.

The 2,970 cc V6 is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. In March 2024 the car received a full service with all oils and fluids changed, replacement of all water and oil hoses and the water pipes running from the front radiator to the engine, new filters and a new battery, at a stated cost of 1,600 euros. The seller discloses no specific defects beyond the standard terms applied to historic vehicles.

The Merak was Maserati's mid-engined V6 companion to the V8 Bora, styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign and built with small rear seats made possible by the compact engine. The seller presents this car as one of 630 examples of the 3000 built.
