This 1969 Porsche 911 T Targa is finished in Lemon Yellow over a black interior, showing 49,861 km. Completed on 21 August 1969 and first registered on 15 September 1969, it is one of the last 911 T Targas built that year, from a production run of 1,282 cars, and it carries a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirming its model year, engine and transmission numbers, colors and factory options. The 2.0-liter flat-six is rated at 110 hp and paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. The car is now with its fourth owner and is offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery, the Porsche certificate, a Belgian Car-Pass mileage record and invoices from previous owners.
The car left the factory in Lemon Yellow, code 6824. A previous owner had it repainted red; the seller bought the car in red and had it repainted back to its original yellow in their own workshops. As a Series B car it has the longer wheelbase introduced for 1969, with the rear wheels moved 57 mm rearward on revised suspension arms and thicker torsion bars, and the engine and transmission cases are magnesium castings, as fitted by the factory to save weight. Twin triple-choke Weber carburetors and a 62-liter fuel tank are fitted.
The interior is trimmed in black, as confirmed by the certificate, which lists black leatherette, code 9822. The seller discloses that the original Recaro sport seats listed on the certificate have been replaced with classic seats. Factory options on the certificate also include leatherette headrests, a radio speaker, trim strips on the wheels, a tinted windshield and door windows and a left outside mirror.
The Car-Pass records the odometer at 94,459 km in October 2008 and at 3,335 km in January 2015, so the odometer has rolled over or been replaced in the intervening years; it then records the mileage climbing to 49,630 km by September 2023, and the odometer now shows 49,861 km. A Belgian technical inspection in September 2023 passed the car with two minor items to monitor: the dipped headlights and a fluid leak.
The 1969 model year was the 911's first with the longer wheelbase, and the Targa paired the open body with the fixed roll bar that defined the model. This example pairs its factory certificate and Belgian history with a repaint back to its original color, declared as plainly as the seat change.
