  • This 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL is finished in Bordeaux metallic (paint code 576) over a parchment MB-Tex interior (code 147), showing 95,102 miles on the odometer. Its 2,778 cc M130 inline-six is rated at approximately 170 hp and is paired with an automatic gearbox, with power steering. The car is accompanied by its original data card and ASI certification, and it is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery.

The Bordeaux metallic paintwork is set off by a black soft top and the removable Pagoda hardtop. Whitewall tyres and bumpers with overriders are among the factory options recorded on the data card.

The parchment MB-Tex interior is equipped with Behr air conditioning, a Becker radio, headrests and seat belts. The automatic gearbox is floor-shifted.

The seller reports that this US-market example was imported from the United States and registered in Italy in 2008, receiving ASI certification of its technical characteristics the same year. It passed to its second Italian owner in 2015. In 2019 the automatic transmission was completely overhauled by a specialist at a recorded 92,937 miles, and the work is documented in a photographic record that accompanies the car. In 2024 it received the ASI Certificate of Historic and Collectible Status. The seller notes that the engine, gearbox and rear axle are the original matching numbers.

The 280 SL was the final and most powerful version of the W113 Pagoda range, produced from 1968 to 1971.
