  • This 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda is finished in ivory over a tobacco leather interior, with the odometer showing 3,042 km. That figure is an odometer reading only; the car's total mileage is not explained in the seller's material. The car has been partially restored and is presented in very good condition mechanically, bodily and in its trim. It is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery.

The ivory paintwork is paired with a brown Sonnenland soft top. The seller states that the car was imported from Germany with kilometre instrumentation but is presumed, from its specification, to be of US origin originally, and stresses that this origin is a presumption rather than a documented fact. Equipment includes whitewall tyres and twin exterior mirrors.

The tobacco leather interior is original. Fitted equipment includes the automatic gearbox, power steering, a tinted windscreen and a period Blaupunkt radio.

The 2,778 cc M130 inline-six runs on mechanical fuel injection and is rated at 170 hp. The car is regularly registered in Italy with inspection valid to January 2028. The seller's material specifies no ASI, FIVA, Mercedes-Benz Classic or other historic certification, so certificates should be confirmed with the dealer.

The 280 SL was the final and most powerful development of the W113 Pagoda, and its blend of a strong six, an automatic gearbox and power steering made it the most touring-oriented of the three versions.
