This 1968 Fiat Dino Spider 2000 is a completely original, unrestored example finished in red over its original black vinyl interior, showing 69,081 km. Chassis no. 771 of 1,163 built, it retains the matching factory interior, seats, dashboard, chrome, soft top, and details. The 2.0-liter Dino V6 — a Ferrari design — pairs with a manual gearbox. Registered new in Ancona in 1968 and re-registered in Modena in 1984, it keeps its original black plates and period registration booklet. It is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 28-photo gallery.
The red paint shows natural patina acquired over time, which the seller notes as enhancing the car's authenticity rather than detracting from it. No specific damage is disclosed; the car is sold as-is under standard vintage-car terms.
The black vinyl interior is described as original throughout, including seats and dashboard. The soft top is the factory item.
The 1,987 cc Dino V6 was designed by Ferrari for Formula 2 homologation and shared with the Fiat Dino and Ferrari Dino 206. The seller reports a complete overhaul of the engine and mechanical components under the current ownership (since 2005), with approximately 4,000 km covered since. Inspection is valid until January 2028.
The Fiat Dino Spider was drawn by Pininfarina and built to homologate Ferrari's V6 for racing. Unrestored, matching-numbers examples with documented provenance are increasingly difficult to find, and the Spider's Pininfarina lines have aged into one of the most admired shapes of the late 1960s.
