  • This 1967 Porsche 911 S is a short-wheelbase 2.0 Coupé from the rare transition series between the 1967 and 1968 model years. It was delivered new in Italy to its first owner in October 1967 and is finished in Sandbeige over a black interior with Pepita seat inserts. The original 2.0-litre flat-six, with the aluminium crankcase correct for the transition series, runs Weber 40 IDS carburettors and is rated at 160 hp. The car has covered 350 km since the completion of a full nut-and-bolt restoration and is still in its running-in period. It is now offered by Open Air Imports in Vicenza, Italy, with a 30-photo gallery.

The Sandbeige paintwork was renewed as part of the restoration. The car keeps its 1967-specific front hood and early short-wheelbase componentry, with some parts already from 1968 production. It rides on Fuchs alloy wheels, first offered on the 911 S.

The cabin is trimmed in black, with black-and-white Pepita inserts on the seats, and a period radio is fitted.

Every component of the car was disassembled, checked, and restored or replaced as needed to period Porsche specification, with the greatest possible number of original components preserved. The seller reports the restoration took thousands of hours and was photographically documented through all phases. At roughly 1,070 kg, period figures quote a top speed of 225 km/h and 0–100 km/h in about 8 seconds.

The 911 S was the first 911 to carry the S badge, marking the high-performance version of the model. Short-wheelbase production ended in 1968, and the transition cars that mix features from both model years are among the least common of the early 911s.
