This 1960 Lotus Elite is finished in white over a black interior, showing 329 miles covered since a total restoration. No total mileage is recorded. A Type 14 Elite, it is one of about 1,030 built, and it holds FIVA certification. It is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery.

The fibreglass monocoque body was restored by specialist KVP during the car's total restoration in Italy, following its import from the United States. The seller describes the finished car as like new.

The black interior was made by upholsterer Ferraresi as part of the restoration.

The 1,216 cc Coventry Climax FWE inline-four, rated at about 75 hp, was sent to England and rebuilt by Tony Mantle at Climax Engine Services, and is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. After the restoration the car was registered in Italy for the first time in 2021, the same year it appeared at the Vernasca Silver Flag, winning first prize for the most refined technical solution. It returned in 2022 to win first prize in the Gran Turismo category. There has been one owner since the restoration, and the seller discloses no defects.

Colin Chapman's Elite was the first production car built around a fibreglass monocoque, uniting the structure and body in a single moulding that kept weight low enough for the small Climax engine to make it a genuine competition car in class. Restored Type 14s with FIVA certification and show results are a small subset of the 1,030 built.
