This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk I BN7 is finished in two-tone Colorado Red over English White, with a black leather interior, showing 4,402 km. Its 2.9-litre inline-six is rated at 124 hp and drives the rear wheels through a manual gearbox with overdrive. Originally delivered new in the USA, it carries its original matching-numbers engine, and it is now offered by Open Air Imports in Nijlen, Belgium, with a British Heritage Trust document and a 30-photo gallery.
Colorado Red is an original Austin-Healey colour, and the two-tone scheme is paired with 60-spoke chrome wire wheels. The seller reports that the car was professionally restored and remains in very fine condition. A black canvas soft top, a tonneau cover and side screens are included.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather with white piping, with a body-colour dashboard, a three-spoke steering wheel and an optional heater.
The seller reports that the brakes, chassis and drivetrain are neatly set up and that the car drives very well and smoothly. After its restoration the car was displayed at a car museum in Saint Louis in the United States, at which point it showed 2,748 miles.
The 3000 Mk I, built from 1959 to 1961, was the first of the 'Big Healeys' with the enlarged six-cylinder engine and front disc brakes. The BN7 is the two-seat roadster body, the purest of the range.
