  • This 1959 MG MGA Twin Cam Coupe is finished in Mineral Blue over a grey interior, showing 18,800 miles. A late-production car built in June 1959 as a home-market right-hand-drive car in very rare Mineral Blue, it pairs the 1,588cc twin-cam engine with a four-speed manual gearbox and is now offered by Open Air Imports in Chipping Warden, England, with its Heritage Trust certificate.

The seller reports the car was comprehensively restored in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with further invoiced work in 2016 and more spend shown on invoices up to 2021. They describe the paint as lovely and glossy all round — not perfect, but stood up really well — with excellent chrome and good Michelin tyres dated 2020 all round. The Heritage certificate shows the car presents just as it left the factory. A second rear deck is included for those who do not like the screwed-in luggage rack.

The cabin is trimmed in grey with the correct competition seats and a centre arm rest. Specification includes centre-lock disc wheels, a full-size spare disc wheel, twin 12-volt batteries on positive earth and a rear luggage rack.

The seller describes the interior as very nice with no wear to the seats or carpet, the engine bay presenting superbly and the carpeted boot area and spare wheel with cover in fine order. MOT certificates, invoices and two keys accompany the car.

The Twin Cam was the MGA's flagship: its twin-overhead-cam engine made it the fastest production MG of its day, and only around 2,100 were built across roadster and coupe. A home-market coupe in Mineral Blue with a Heritage certificate is a rare thing.
