This 1959 MG MGA is finished in red over a black leather interior, showing 8,388 km. Its 1,489 cc four-cylinder engine is rated at 68 hp and drives the rear wheels through a manual gearbox. The car has been with its Belgian owner since 1994 and was restored over a period of about two years after his purchase. It is now offered by Open Air Imports in Nijlen, Belgium, with the restoration documentation, a logbook covering almost 30 years of ownership and a 30-photo gallery.

The seller reports that the car came from California before the current owner bought it in 1994, and that the dry climate there gave the restoration a sound, rust-free basis. Bodywork and mechanical components were comprehensively addressed during the restoration, and the invoices for parts and work carried out have been preserved. The car rides on wire wheels and is pictured with its black soft top and tonneau cover, both of which are included.

The cabin is trimmed in black leather, with a painted dashboard, a full set of round gauges and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.

The seller reports that the car was used regularly across almost three decades of ownership rather than stored after its restoration, and that a logbook was kept recording mileage, journeys, maintenance and work carried out. It recently received a major service, a partially overhauled gearbox, a new clutch and a new water pump.

The MGA, built from 1955 to 1962, replaced the MG TF with a streamlined body on a new unitary chassis and became the car that carried MG through the late 1950s, with the large majority of production exported.
