This 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is finished in Light Blue Metallic over a blue leather interior, showing 2,000 km on the odometer. Its 1,900 cc four-cylinder engine is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. The car holds ASI Gold Plate certification and a FIVA identity card, and it is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 30-photo gallery.
The Light Blue Metallic paintwork is set off by whitewall tyres and a blue Sonnenland soft top. Sports seats and the small rear lights mark it as an early-production example, built before the 1957 changes.
The interior is trimmed in blue leather. Equipment includes a Becker radio.
The seller reports that the car was produced at the beginning of 1956 and shipped on 27 February 1956 to the Mercedes-Benz distributor in Los Angeles, and that it spent its life in the United States, last registered in Oregon, before importation to Italy in 2013. The current owner acquired it in 2015 and carried out a complete restoration between 2016 and 2022. It was registered in Italy in 2023 and has covered approximately 2,000 km since the restoration.
As one of the 190 SLs built up to 1957, this example is eligible for the 1000 Miglia.
