This 1955 Triumph TR3 Sport, chassis TS9243L, is finished in white over a red leather interior. The 1,991 cc inline-four with twin SU carburettors pairs with a four-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. Imported from France to Italy, it received a complete top-level restoration in 2022 covering bodywork, chassis, engine, wiring, and fuel system, photo-documented throughout. It carries ASI registration, ACI Storico certification, and an official 1000 Miglia Registry entry (no. 2002E). Since restoration it has run the 2023 Mille Miglia and 2024 Coppa delle Dolomiti with very limited kilometers. It is now offered by Open Air Imports with a 28-photo gallery.
The white paintwork was refinished as part of the 2022 restoration. The seller discloses no flaws; the car is sold as-is under standard vintage-car terms.
The red leather interior was re-trimmed during the restoration. The car retains its period character with restored instrumentation and trim.
The 1,991 cc four-cylinder is rated at 95 hp. The restoration was completed by an Italian specialist and included a full mechanical rebuild. Post-restoration rally participation in two major historic events demonstrates the car's sorted condition.
The TR3 was Triumph's breakthrough sports car, and Mille Miglia-eligible examples with registry entry and rally history occupy a specific place in the historic motoring world. A freshly restored, event-proven TR3 with 1000 Miglia papers is ready for the next rally or tour.
